Also, how badly chewed are the ones on there now?

My son went in to work on Saturday (he is an apprentice auto tech) to put 
rotors and pads into the front of his
Maxima but found that he did not need to do anything but turn the rotors on the 
lathe. He was getting a wobble when
he stepped on the brakes and was sure he would need new rotors and pads. He 
says there was lots of rotor left and
the pads looked decent so he put them back on.

But call him and ask him what's good, don't just go and buy a PBR or
Brembo online.
Also note that the front rotors changed during 1980.
