Apparently the chassis ground cable for a 99 w210.025 is NLA and has no roll-up.

I am thinking of fabricating one... I am going to be limited to 1/0 by the crimp tool I have access to (AMP Bamtam Rota-Crimp).

I am thinking of using 1/0 welding wire with appropriately sized lugs (hole size). Would 1/0 be heavy enough (I'm sure that it would be enough for the charging system, but was concerned about the starting system)

For termination, I intend to dip the stripped end in rosin flux and then into a solder pot; I would flux and solder wash the inside of the lug; I would then crimp the end in the lug and then heat it to reflow the solder and add more as needed.

Does anyone forsee any issues with this plan? The cable is in the 18-24" long range.
