If you see ANY cracks in it, especially little arc-shaped ones near the steel sleeves that the bolts go through, then replace it.

Btw the most effective way to separate those things is to get a foot long piece of steel that is the diameter of the bolts, stick it into the bolt hole (partway) and pull it back and forth

How do you test flex discs in the car? I've seen a defective flex disc out of a car which looked okay until it was twisted in a vise.
