Most of the Doppelbocks I've had have been in the low to mid 6% range. I have a friend who comes from Germany every couple of years, her carry on bag always clanging with bottles when she arrives. lol. Had a couple of great doppelbocks last time, I'll have to look up the names. I keep the labels off some of the really good ones, and store them in a book, along with a short note. If I haven't had a beer for a year or so, I always forget what it was like, the notes help. I do the same when trying different wines.
I'll have a look for Paulaner Salvator next time I'm shopping, see what I can find. Thank for the tip.
