OK I should probably get all those driveline bits, while he is doing it
just put new stuff all in there and be done with it for another 26 years.
I used the $2 oil sucker yesterday to change the oil in his car, just
turned it on and let it run while I went off and did other things, not
sure how long it actually took but it got it out.
Ah-hah -- test refrigerant! Did not think of that. Well anyway he left
this morning so I might have to give that a try on the TD if I can find
a set of new orings or whatever is needed to seal up the system.

needs a flex disk I believe as it seems to be whumping a bit from a

That's usually the driveline center bearing carrier, but
that's an excellent time to examine the disks for replacement
since you have to unhook them both anyway. Also an excellent
time to check the bearing itself for replacement, too.
The HF vacuum pump could also power an oil sucker. Make sure
you filter it if you're using it in woodworking, you don't want
to suck dust into the vane pump and sludge it out!
I will have to look at the gauge set, I might need some other kind of
hose to hook to the vac pump for pumping down if I have to do that?
If this is all new R134a stuff, it should all just hook up.
But you might be right.
The boy's car still had R12, it worked when we got it but he says it
doesn't put out now. Not sure I want to waste my last can of R12 on
it, he doesn't seem to mind anyway.
Excellent place to try out a test refrigerant!
