Yeah, me too. It screwed you up when the grid suddenly moved over a hundred feet or so to compensate for longitude line convergence or something.

Back when I was a student pilot, I spent a lot of time flying square
patterns at 500 feet or so with my instructor following the section lines,
learning to compensate for crosswinds.
