Finally LED ~= LCD, I gather LED is better - definitely newer tech at least...
LED !== LCD in any way. LED vs CF backlight for LCD is what they're talking about. I find the LED panels I've seen way too hot in the red, much like the CF's were way too blue/green looking at first. They look garish. OK if you're watching animation, I guess... Your tech choices are plasma or LCD, or DLP if projecting. Your LCD backlight choices are LED or CF, I think the only DLP backlights are those spendy metal-halide bulbs.
