A fellow student's husband served on nuks in the late 70s. One crew
member wanted the hazard pay but was claustrophobic, so had
nightmares and tended to wake up screaming all the time, so they made
him sleep in the storeroom.
I agree, you gotta be somewhat off beam to ride around for a year
underwater in a steel cigar.....
