Any rubber vacuum line, hard line, or connector is suspect on a car that
old.  Especially in the heat of the engine compartment, they get brittle
with age.  You likely bumped one and caused a hairline crack.  Might be
worth replacing all the rubber and connectors at least (if you do,
replace ONE section at a time, do not remove all the old and then try to
remember what was connected to what).
