Every other AOD trans I've driven didn't allow you to "opt out" of kickdown at WOT, and was constantly dropping out of OD.
Sorta like every GM I've driven lately doesn't allow you to opt out of WOT when you push more than slightly on the pedal? POS design, trying to fool people into thinking the car has more power than it does. Must be great in the snow.
