Well after an entire day screwing with it I'm DONE...

I see what you mean though, if you push on the center (which is what I've been
doing DOH!) it bulges out and never fits. The fronts are SUPER easy...

Ironically I think if I'd left the rears alone I'd have been okay, the only one
I could find movement in was the front.

I'll call my Indy on Monday.

Yup, goes in from the bottom.  Make sure the hole in the frame is
clean -- chunks of old rubber in there WILL prevent the new mount
from going in, believe me, I've tried.

If possible, you should press in on the metal rim of the subframe
mount, not the center portion, that way you won't tear it, and you
will be applying pressure directly on the seating portion.  If you
have nothing else, a big washer on top will work using the old lower
retainer plate and some all-thread.    The mount should go in pretty
easy with a puller, if not make SURE you have the correct one for
your chassis.

Make sure they are right way 'round, I seem to remember that they are
not circular, and the "tabs" go fore and aft, not to the side.

Good luck -- I'm planning on doing this job on my 300D very soon,
hopefully before this coming Thanksgiving where I have to make a 600
mile trip!
