Much thanks to Wilton for the invite AND picking up the tab. Was a very
nice break during the 540 mile trip, great to finally meet another
"dieselitus maximitus" sufferer, we took our time for the rest of the
trip and rolled into the home driveway at about 10 p.m.
I did indulge in a little fast driving on '95 in South Carolina; a very
nice W140 and a R129 cruised by at about 90 mph, and I just couldn't
hold my wagon back. We briefly exceed 100 in a very nice formation, all
the rice burners fell away, then after 30 minutes or so the R129 and I
had had enough and the S-class faded away in the distance.
