Hi Max,
Last Summer you were prepping for a rear suspension repair & upgrade. At the time several people (incl. me) requested a list parts needed. Were you ever able to put that list onto paper? Would love to see it - still no specific problems but it's one of those problems that sneak up on you without noticing.

I assume the '95 is all back together by now? Driving nicely I hope? Sorry if you have gone over this - there are so many MBZ posts I often get behind in reading all of them. Hope I don't miss something important...

Did you notice a big improvement?

TIA -

I'll send it directly (anyone else need it?) but I'm not sure it will
all apply to you, as the hardware changed at some point, increasing the
bolt size from M10 to M12 I believe. Maybe someone here is smart enough
to know if the larger bolts will be fine as long as ALL the
camber/torque/strut/etc arms are replaced along with bushings and
sleeves?

Subject: [MBZ] 124 rear suspension rebuild - who's BTDT?

Dieselvolk,

I'm putting together a Rusty-gram to get the rubber and hardware bits
so that I can rebuild the rear suspension on my '95 E300. I'm
planning to go whole hog: differential to sub frame mounts, sub frame
to body mounts, and all the various bushings and torque arms and
struts that hold the wheel carrier in position. I'm expecting at
least a boat ride at this year's Rusty-Q, as I've probably already
made two or three of his boat payments.

Someone, I believe it was Dieselhead, recently shared their
observations, and I remember that removing the mounts that hold sub
frame to body was loads of fun and games. What tools/hardware should
I gather in advance to help this procedure along? Can I rent the $$$
tools somewhere? Any other tidbits of wisdom will be appreciated.

Still smoking,
/s/
