Did you lubricate because the movement is too slow? On my '95, the plastic cover over the reticulating mechanism is easy to pop-off - there are two catches at the bottom, you simply pull a little and it should pop off. You'll have access to clean and lube everything but the shaft which comes out of the motor. On my '87, the cover is screwed down and the entire WW assembly must be removed in order to properly clean/lubricate.

Great timing, huh? Anyway, it sounds like the wiper blade is dry and dragging across the glass. It wasn’t as I sprayed it with cleaner fluid. I lubricated the mechanism as much as I could without disassembling anything. It’s a bit better. But I worry. Anyone BTDT?
