Luckily no one builds cars with transverse V-8s any more except the loonies at Cadillac. I think Volvo has them too, in their biggest cars and SUVs, but that's all I can think of. Ferrari, maybe (do they still make anything mid-engined?), but if you own a Ferrari you're used to having to R&R the engine for anything more complicated than an oil change.
