What is the state of your E300? I am very happy with mine, now that I've got majority of the issues sorted out. Still some niggling problems to cure, but I need to get the head gasket fixed on the 300TD soon, weather will be good for sailing soon...

According to epa looks like the 2.5 will get a mile or 2 better mpg.
