A friend of mine had one the 4 Cyl mustangs. It was a decent car in terms of
reliability, but performance sucked. It was a shame to call it a mustang. His was so
bad, we called it "The Gelding"

My uncle had a small used car lot. He would always try to help my brother and I find
cars when we inevitably wrecked ours. He called me when I was 17 and was so excited
because he had traded for a Camaro. This was 1989 and all the rich kids at School at
Camaros and firebirds. The Jocks had them too, but they were older. So, I was excited
about possibly getting a Camaro, too! (I was not a jock or a rich kid, but wanted a
"cool" car. So, I show up at the Lot to see the car. It was going to be in
my price range. I was disappointed at best. It was a Camaro. It was in very nice shape.
However, it was turd brown and had a 4 cyl engine. Instead of being cool, it was the
luxury version with wire wheel covers and ugly pinstriping and of course, the worthless 4
cyl engine.

Donald, are you certain of your facts here? I do not believe that there was ever a Camaro with a 4 cylinder engine. An inline 6 perhaps but never a 4 cylinder. There were things like the Monza with the 4 .
