You can spend weeks down on the mall and not see everything!
We've been out there pretty often since 1968 when my Aunt decided to stay (working for the State Department) and have toured ourselves silly and only scratched the surface.
You should also tty to get to the new Aero-Space Museum out by Dulles, it's huge.
And don't forget the War Memorials.....
