Hey Kaleb -
We had a 5.8 about 6 weeks ago in central Va. - 1st (and last I hope) time I
ever felt a earthquake! As you said, it's a strange thing - not what I
expected - I was in the garage when it started - lasted about 10 seconds - I
walked outside and my neighbors were coming outside looking at each other!
We all had the same puzzled look in our face.
My 1st thought was a terrorist bombing (probably an over-reaction ;-)) or an
accidental explosion somewhere - we have a number of manufacturing
facilities around that I thought may have had a problem.
I hope you didn’t have any damage? Need to check foundation and chimneys -
any brick/concrete/block structure can come apart -
