NT 4 was nothing to brag about. it was a little more stable than 3.1 but it BSOD'd frequently, either expectedly or unexpectedly. I had a sequence that would give me a BSOD every time.

2000/XP Pro and Server 2000/2003/2008 are the only half-decent OS that M$ ever put out. 2000 Pro and 2000 server were incomplete products.

Windows is forever tarnished by the pre-NT versions (3.1, 95/97/ME).
Sort of like how GM tarnished the idea of a diesel car here.  Windows,
since NT/2000, has been decently reliable and stable.
