My clock stopped on my 1987 300SDL.
Every dead clock I have seen of that vintage/style has stopped because of dead electrolytic capacitors. Getting the cluster out and apart is the hardest part, we're talking about $1 of new components and a bit of soldering here. If you hammer the setting knob hard enough you can break off a plastic axle pin. I've fixed those with a tiny drill and a bit of paperclip as a new axle pin. To be clear: you don't need a different clock, just fix the one you have. -- Jim _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com For new and used parts go to www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
