Lets do the math using Gump. I got $300 if I deliver to them.
4x wheels = 200 hood = 80 trunk = 95 grill = 35 star = 15 tail light 2x = 40 headlight 2x = 40 cluster = 25 seat 2x = 62 injector 4x = 50 head = 200 valve cover = 20 Alt = 40 starter = 35 check strap 4x = 50 Seat belt 4x = 80 back seat = 100 glass = 400 door panels = 60 console stuff = 80 axles = 600 drive shaft = 180 brake rotors 4x = 150 and the rest of the body metal is going for at least $600 if you toss in trim. Exhaust and pumps, intake, manifold, linkages, etc. They would have cashed out big time if it all got picked. Then the core charge for busted old metal, and it is gravy. Cars stay in the yard about 7 weeks before getting crushed. Fluids get drained and recycled. Old owners did not pick through the cars, so you could score interesting things. New guys scour the cars for loose things and offer those at retail. clay On Mar 13, 2012, at 5:09 PM, Allan Streib wrote: > clay monroe <[email protected]> writes: > >> They pay peanuts.
