Bring your checkbook down south; fly to Charleston or Savannah and you can drive one back. They are a dime a dozen here, if you're willing to work on them. Some years ago I bought a running '72 F100 for $350, and after destroying the ignition timing gave it to a friend, who in turn gave it to another friend. Completely valueless except for scrap, even though it was probably just an issue of adjusting the distributor.
