The F900 in the link more than likely has a "Sceaming Jimmy" GMC 2 stroke
diesel. Detroit Diesel is / was a division of General Motors thus "GMC" and
Ford used the Detroit 2 stroke in that era. ... so likely ..

The 2 stroke diesel Detroit did have exhaust valves.. the "intake valve" is
the piston and a ported sleeve. The useful power band is pretty narrow and
fuel efficency / emissions are less than desired... however , in it's
day... it was as good as it got and diesel was cheap...
