What if you are asleep when the puter crashes? Or in the case of a
motorhome, you might be out the back having a coffee and watching TV on
the big screen.

to be re-set, then you will be able to steer, etc, while waiting for

Surely pilots have been doing that sort of thing with aircraft ever
since the auto pilot was invented.
