How's the evaporator doing?

I installed a new Dayco belt, $27 from Pep Boys. I could see nothing wrong with any pulley, no burr, all in alignment. New alternator turns smoothly with no play. I suspect it was coming apart because it was old and the new alternator and recharged AC put too much strain on it, and summer heat isn't helping either.

I'll keep a close eye in case new belt starts to get eaten up.
