I'm hoping someone else knows a good method, but it looks like you've got good access straight at top. Perhaps there is a tool with a bit you can pound down into or over the head, and then turn it out.
Another thought; clean and then fill recess with JB Weld epoxy, insert hex key, let it set at least 24 hours and then turn it out. Have a welder? Weld a bolt onto the head, the heat will help quite a bit. -Max Craig <diese...@pisquared.net> wrote: >The task of replacing the water pump has progressed, but I have hit a >snag. > > -- Max Dillon Charleston SC '95 E300, '87 300TD _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com For new and used parts go to www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
