no precip; never heard a thing; several significant limbs down in street.
100 here today. Talked to Grnson in DC on Skype about 1 PM; heavy storms
there 1 or 2 AM or so; lotsa people W/O power; his power OK.

It was unusual. We live 20 miles south of the VA-NC line near US-1. Last
night before midnight we had near hurricane-force north winds for maybe 20
minutes. The wind was 20-30 miles in front of the storm line, which was
very visible on radar. Unfortunately, we got zero precip here.

Supposed to be 103/104F today with rising humidity - people are starting
to die from the heat and 2 were killed yesterday when trees fell during
violent T Storms - we're in Va and there's a large number without power
due to last nights storms & high winds - can't imagine this heat without

104 at lunch, 107 at 6, 94 after sunset. Crazy humid, I was literally
dripping after being out for 20 minutes. Now we have a strong wind and
thunderstorm, sounds like we're beachside and the waves are going.
I was going to work on the SDL tomorrow, maybe I will just recharge the
AC
in the 300D and work in the basement instead. :)
