Rats, I was hoping for an easy answer.

Its a resistance device? I should be able to take a reading there. It'd be 
awesome if the FSM had a chart. I'll need to find my copy of the FSM.

Rusty's site shows a 3 pin thingus...

Curt, et al.
The 601/602 engine thermometer sender is on the thermostat housing. Just a 
single contact sticking out, check it and the socket for clean contact.
If it's not that, it is meter and ground tango time.
