Just because there is an MB spec for an oil doesn't mean that spec is valid
for all cars they ever made.

Only the new cars need the ESP oil.  Don't bother on older cars... in fact,
it might even be harmful to use.

I put Mobil 1 ESP 5W40 in my '95 E320 and it burned a quart of oil in 7500
miles.  Then I did my research.  Went back to the "old" Mobil 0w40 and it
doesn't use oil any more.  I can't explain why, but I think it does suggest
that newest oil isn't the best for older engines.
