That's right, much of it is dried skin you've shed off. I've always been suspicious of the devices that claim to give off "beneficial negative ions." If ground-level ozone was good for you the EPA wouldn't worry about it. If indoor ozone was good for you then laser printer manufacturers wouldn't equip their printers with ozone filters to stop them from giving it off.
