Already contacted him. He says that someone is coming up Friday to look at it, but no other details.
I am ready to go at $3k right now, but I assume he is holding out to see if he can get more from the other buyer. I don't have the luxury of time to wait around, so I pretty much have to move forward. If I can't find something by then and his potential buyer falls through, I assume he will accept the offer. Considering that the book value on the car is below what he's asking (private sale is about $2700) without factoring the reconstructed title, I'll be surprised if he gets his price or anything close to it.
