That depends on what you plan for the car. Race it or some other plan involving thrashing it to being worthless, then by all means.
Value for these cars is in being complete enough without making it into some hoopty. There are so many examples of the model that you change it up and it loses resale. Put a chebby into it and you can use it for racing or demolition derby. The same issue with the r107. Bugger it up with a GM motor and it is worth nothing more than parts. Some poor fool has one on CL for the past year for $12k. This thing is not worth that as a complete benz, but with the engine, nobody is even looking at it. clay On Feb 6, 2013, at 9:43 AM, Randy Bennell wrote: > My son keeps saying we should put a small block Chevy engine in my 115. > I have a 4 bolt main 350 in the garage that I bought to put in a boat, and > then sold the boat. > > I don't think I want a 115/5.7 gasser. > > Randy who should probably sell the SBC engine > > _______________________________________ > http://www.okiebenz.com > For new and used parts go to www.okiebenz.com > To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ > > To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: > http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com For new and used parts go to www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
