When I plowed schnee, I had two small (3.5 " dia) aircraft landing lights on the light bar. I turned them on in parking lots, and there was not much I could not see. They are great. Fit right in the cheap waycee jitney fog light housings.

Reminds me: In 1959, while I was a maintenance crew chief as an E-3 on a B-47E at Lincoln AFB, NE, young arrogant, smart ass lieutenant co-pilot had me reading his checklist for 'im on his preflight inspection. He was very inexperienced with the airplane, and, several times during the inspection, I could tell that he didn't know what to look for, or how to check fluid level in a certain hydraulic reservoir, etc., so I'd give 'im pointers as to what to look for, how to do it, etc. I could also tell that he did not like taking tips, instructions, etc., from a lowly E-3, though this lowly E-3 knew a helluva lot more about the airplane than he did. 'Finally got to the left landing light behind an outer, Plexiglas lens in the lower, forward fairing between the two engines in the left inboard engine pod. The flight crew the day before had mistakenly turned the light on even before taxiing, and it had shattered because of the thermal shock of suddenly going to operating temp after sitting for several days at below 20F. (A really bright flash for a moment in my eyes as I stood out front beginning to direct the taxi out of the parking space.) The Lt. looked at the shattered light for a few seconds and asked, "What's wrong with that?" My terse answer, "It's broken," and moved on to the next item, while telling 'im, "There's not a spare on base". Pilot came along about that time, and Lt. excitedly told 'im about broken light. Pilot glanced at it for a second and replied, "Yep, it's broken, get aboard, let's go."
