It will fit either as long as you swap the back plate. The 123 has
mechanical speedo pickup, 126 electronic. If it doesnt have the correct
back plate that you need you will just have to pull the back plate and
swap them around.

Seller claims it's from an '84 with 85 k miles. I think I can get it for $
350.
Is the claim that it fits 123's as well as 126's true?
My tranny leaks bad at the front. R&R + resealing is $ 650, but I'm told
it's not worth it @ 175k.
A rebuilt will cost me $ 2,500+, incl. T/C and R&R.
I am tempted to jump on this deal.
