An SDL at 200k miles is just over a pup. IMHO, an OM603 is a pup
until it crosses 200K.
Unless, of course, it's a 3.5L with a leaky head gasket and
hydrolocked #1 piston.

Yep Head gasket is an E service item on a 350SDL.
