Did they offer the KG with the semi-automatic like they did in the Beetle? 
Those were odd machines.

Me, too, but my "condition" would make it REALLY hard for me to drive a 
stndrd tranny now (Model A or Karman Ghia); 'can't rotate my toes upward to 
be comfortable enough in getting on the clutch pedal when needed.  'Don't 
have any problem getting accelerator and brake; 'guess I've compensated for 
the "foot-drop" problem by lifting foot plenty high to make sure I get on 
the brake.  Last time I drove manny tranny was 5 or 6 years ago teaching 
Grndson to drive his '85 Bimmer; picked 'im up at school in afternoons with 
it and was VERY glad to get there each time for him to take it.
Now, if I had plenty of dough like y'all (youse guys), I'd put an autotranny 
in 'em and off I'd go with a one-footed Model A or Karman Ghia.
