Tell you what, you buy it and keep it here and I'll drive you around in it whenever you're in town. ;)
Did they offer the KG with the semi-automatic like they did in the Beetle? Those were odd machines. -Curt Date: Thu, 2 May 2013 19:04:21 -0400 From: "WILTON" <wilt...@nc.rr.com> To: "Mercedes Discussion List" <mercedes@okiebenz.com> Subject: Re: [MBZ] 240D Message-ID: <CDC81A71847F4E8CA85E88A755A7E6A6@wiltonPC> Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed; charset="iso-8859-1"; reply-type=original Me, too, but my "condition" would make it REALLY hard for me to drive a stndrd tranny now (Model A or Karman Ghia); 'can't rotate my toes upward to be comfortable enough in getting on the clutch pedal when needed. 'Don't have any problem getting accelerator and brake; 'guess I've compensated for the "foot-drop" problem by lifting foot plenty high to make sure I get on the brake. Last time I drove manny tranny was 5 or 6 years ago teaching Grndson to drive his '85 Bimmer; picked 'im up at school in afternoons with it and was VERY glad to get there each time for him to take it. Now, if I had plenty of dough like y'all (youse guys), I'd put an autotranny in 'em and off I'd go with a one-footed Model A or Karman Ghia.
