So, don't carry.
Carry a plastic shape that looks like carry, but you aren't actually
carrying. Much in the kulture is in that semblance. Nobody walks
around with a big A on their shirt, but... yeah, there is a bunch of
that out there. If we all wore a big A on our shirt, we might be
closer to honest - or something like that. When the enforcement
officer sees that your carry is not real, he makes you pay a fine -
big deal, you will be fined much less than the cost of a real carry.
etc, etc
Polite would be the objective.
Loss of advantage for the generally few bad guys that carry with
intent to hurt might decrease. In that realm of thought, I do not
fear bad guy with gun in anyplace I go. I go very few places and I am
happy to live without fear. I am happy to live without gay rights
because none of the places I go has any gain in overt gay rights.
There seems to be two aspects to freedom, one of which we fail to
acknowledge - to be free does not mean everyone thinks the same. I
bet I knew more gay or gun carrying people when I was in high school
45 years ago and I felt free. I feel free today also and I don't care
about guns or gay rights. Freedom is more than the demands the
talking heads want to indoctrinate - both repugnant talking heads as
well as progressive talking heads are idiots. Why I listen... is
freedom I might easily abandon, but haven't yet...
