despite my leg pulling that poop should make some wonderful fertilizer. We used goat turds for quite a while with great success. I remember the steam coming off the big cow and horse manure piles on the farm in Germany years ago. All that as well as the holding tank contents was tilled into the fields every fall.

Food.

The alpacas are all organic and the heat of my wee composter tends to inhibit bad things from taking place. I have yet to get it to actually ignite, but on occasion there is some really nice steam coming off the pile in the morning. Turn and wet, then let it be.
