I have to agree. I don't understand the current M-B styling motif, especially the front ends. Compare it especially to the other German makes. A new BMW 3-series coupe has objectively almost nothing in common with an old 2002, and yet if you look at them side by side there is an undeniable family resemblance. Same with a new VW Golf next to an old Rabbit. The Germans used to be the best at maintaining that styling lineage, but M-B somehow has lost their way.
