I sold my 15" CD MacBook Pro last year to fund an iPad with LTE/3G. I got enough for it to buy a refurb iPad 2.
Between the iPad and my desktop I can pretty much do everything I need. I don't miss the laptop at all. I would say that had I been able to find some sort of cellular arrangement for my HP TouchPad I would have stayed with it and not bothered with the iPad. I really liked that tablet and the a Android OS.
