You might. City people try it around here. Some stay, some go back to city living. It's a big change in lifestyle that involves a lot of DIY if you live in the woods.

i've never lived anywhere but a major urban area. the nearest free street
parking to where i live now is about half a mile away. i am within 1/4
mile of two major supermarkets, a walmart, about 20 eateries and maybe the
same number of banks.

but i still do most of my shopping via mail order and get fresh produce off
the back of trucks, so i might do ok out on the sticks

Ten miles east of Gainesville, Florida is an Amtrak station. Gainesville
is a major university town with people from all over the nation and the
world. As one would expect there are bike and motor scooter riders all
over the place as well as public buses. Fifty years ago it was a small
southern town but now it's more of a northern or internationally oriented
city.
As a retiree in years to come, you might prefer to get away from the
crowds and hurly burly of fast moving cities. Then you might like living
in tiny towns near the Amtrak stations where everything but convenience
stores shut down at 9 pm. If you move, good luck wherever you go.

I mean just simple things like going to the store for groceries so you

You can find a place to live near the grocery stores in the summer but
the

winter.

Ah! Then you're thinking of Beverly Hills West near LA. The only
place

you'd find anything like that around here is the Goodwill or

There are quite a few wealthy people in Citrus County, but I
think
they do
their shopping in Tampa or Orlando.
