Out for a quick trip to Jacksonville, this afternoon it finally warmed
enough to justify AC.
Several miles later, pulled off to get a bite. When I accelerated away
from the first stop, multiple popping noises from the front of my E300...
not good! Let off the go pedal, noise went away, pulled into a parking
lot, popped the hood. Serpentine belt is coming apart. Ok, that's easy
and relatively cheap.
About an hour later and $30 lighter, I've got a Napa belt turning the
pulleys. Used a 13mm wrench, lug nut wrench, couple feet of stiff wire,
three rubber gloves (tore one).
Hursty, how far are you from JAX?
