BTW, re. shoes; podiatrist (also my former DIL and older grandson's mother)
put me onto SAS shoes maybe 15 years ago. 'Sorta ugly but very
comfortable - the shoes, not the DIL. ;<)

Hi Wilton,
I am going through the Archives to see if I missed anything (don't
know why I didn't try this before) and noticed your question about my
CIDP - I need to rest my legs every 30-60- minutes. At the moment I have
a blister on my left big toe and another blister on my right foot - it is
so hard to get stuff to heal on feet because every step compresses the
wound and prevents healing. I am going to a podiatrist weekly for
his help and new ortho insoles. But it's such a long, slow process. I am
taking antibiotics as I fear infection that might get started without my
knowledge. Had a friend lose his leg from knee down because he didn't go
to a doc often enough - he liked holistic treatments and oriental stiff.
He found he had gangrene under the skin (that's what he said) and if he
had not gone to a doc when he did they would have buried him that day.
But for me, pain is not terrible today - had some sharp pains this
morning and extreme burning that seems to have stopped for now.
So I'm dealing with the CIDP. How's yours doing? Are you having
stability issues? Pain?
I spoke to a AC specialist who is a SIL of a former supervisor whom I
got along with very well. Talked to "Mike" about the fit of the Freon
pipes into the expansion valve and he said he'd use the EV from the old
Evap - it had a known good fit for the freon tubes so that's what I plan.
He was also able to help me know what to expect the o-rings to look like
so I'm good for now.
I'll let you know how the old freon tubes/old exp valve/new evap fit.
But I expect them to slip right in - after all they had a great fit
before...
My wife has been driving our 97 Tahoe to/from work -- which is more my
son's vehicle than ours but it's here for us to us. The AC didn't work so
I had it checked yesterday - bad evaporator! When it rains it pours!
Same fix is needed - pull dash, R&R evap, etc. typical PITA.!
Anyway - time to head into the garage and start on the W124 again. I
hope I'm in the final stretch.
Take care -- you're in my prayers....
Larry
