Agreed. I need to replace motor, transmission, and differential mounts; as well as rear suspension mounts on my '83 300D if I can find something besides those made in China.
Replacing mounts every year or two is a bummer.

Hey Jabba: Can you comment on the quality/longevity of currently-available
rubber suspension parts? For example, lower control arm bushings, flex
disks, center bearing carrier, etc.? Thanks. Scott

I rebuilt the front suspension of one of my SDs a coupla years ago, I
don't know about the quality of the rubber but it all seemed OK.

On a semi-related note, is good-quality rubber still available for
rebuilding suspensions or have the Chinese and environmentalists
eliminated that? I seem to recall replacing some MBZ OEM rubber bits
with new and the new parts degraded quickly.
