Peter was probably correct in stating that that oil is destined for
China. I will also add that the reason the pipeline is being blocked has
more to do with money than environmental impact. When the economy tanked,
Berkshire Hathaway bought up a railroad, mighty cheap. If you can't ship
oil by pipeline, it gets shipped by rail. As with anything, one needs to
"follow the money" to extract the real reasons behind anything.?
