Has the thermostat been tested to confirm it's working properly? It seems that thermostats can fail early. Also if the radiator is old, it could be partially blocked. What are the hose temps coming out of the radiator?
I have the opposite problem insofar that the TE won't get past 80 much, should sit at about 82. May well have to pull the thermostat to see if it is operating as it should. Anyway we made it to Queensland and I am sitting here in shorts and T shirt.
