There are kerosene Coleman lanterns too. Lately I'm into Tilly though. Weird
little lanterns.
I've got an Aladdin that Fred gave me, nice and quiet and frugal on fuel. At
camp we've got a hot blast lantern and a dead flame wick lamp. I want to get a
cold blast lantern as I've read that they put out a white light. The hot blast
light is decidedly yellow but the lantern is very frugal on fuel, one pint is
good for ~30 hours. We use it as a night light outside during deer camp to make
answering the call of nature easier.

I sure like my Aladdin lamps!  Not as bright a pressure lantern
like the Coleman but the light is nice, not font to pressurize, and
it burns kerosine.
