*Helas; vive la difference...* There is a passably good domestic champagne, however. The Gruet family from Champagne searched all over the US some years back for a place to plant their New World vineyards and discovered the PERFECT terroir for growing champagne grapes - in New Mexico! The grapes grow on the banks of the Rio Grande a couple hundred miles south of Albuquerque near Elephant Butte. Great taste, small bubbles and fermented IN THE BOTTLE. Quite a bargain at under $15/bottle.
That sounds like a good one to try. WHat's it called? _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com All posts are the result of individual contributors and as such, those individuals are responsible for the content of the post.
