Thanks for the support guys, I appreciate.

If there was a single issue with the car, I'd be happy to work with him on
it.... get him some parts, etc. But there isn't any specific complaint at
this point, besides the low compression numbers (which don't make any
sense), and his general discontent with his decision to buy the car.

He signed an "as-is" bill of sale and the moneys in the bank, so I'm
protected.

Let me suggest that you reply to him, telling him that he has no idea how fortunate he is. These cars are beautiful machines that are sought after by a lot of very smart people who could usually have any vehicle they wanted but choose to have these. Tell him that it is becoming more and more difficult to find these models in good condition because they tend to be used by their owners and thus tend to
have a lot of miles on them.
Tell him that he needs to better educate himself on the subject if he intends to continue his ownership and suggest some forums that he might wish to participate in. Also suggest to him, that these models are likely on the upward curve in terms of value and impress upon him that he needs to keep the car in a good state of repair and appearance if he expects to benefit from his ownership. Then finish off by telling him that you are offended by his complaints and have no wish to hear further complaints from him.
